How do I hide used or irrelevant sites?

Keeping your project workspace clean is essential for efficient link building. The "Used List" (or Blacklist) helps you hide sites you've already worked with or simply don't want to see again. Once added, these domains disappear from all your search results, so you can focus on fresh opportunities.

The feature works the same way in both the Sponsored Content Finder and Free Placement Sites List tools.

Here's how to hide sites and manage your Used List:

Method 1: Hide sites directly from search results

  1. Open your project: Click on any existing project from your Dashboard, or create a new one.

  2. Select sites to hide: Browse the database and check the checkboxes next to the domains you want to remove.

  3. Click "Hide": The selected sites will instantly disappear from your current view and be automatically added to your Used List.

If you change your mind:

  • Click "Reset" to uncheck all selected boxes before hiding

  • Or manually uncheck individual sites you want to keep

Method 2: Bulk upload sites to the Used List

  1. Open the Used List: In your project, click the "Used" button in the upper right corner.

  2. Click "Add" to start uploading sites.

  3. Choose your input method:

    • Enter domains manually, one per line

    • Upload a .txt file containing your list

  4. Click "Add" to upload. Large files may take a moment to process.

  5. Refresh: Click "Update" to see your newly added sites.

Managing sites in your Used List

  • Select all on current page: Check the box next to "Domain" at the top

  • Select specific sites: Manually check individual boxes

  • Quick search: Find a specific domain using the "Quick Search" field

  • Delete selected: Click "Delete All" to remove checked sites

  • Clear selection: Click "Reset" to uncheck all boxes

  • Restore all sites: Click "Delete All" to move every domain from your Used List back to the main database

What should you add to your Used List?

Good candidates include:

  • Sites where you've already purchased links

  • Domains you've pitched and been rejected by (no need to try again)

  • Platforms with irrelevant content or poor quality

  • Sites that don't feel right despite matching your filters

  • Any domain you want to permanently exclude from future searches
